An Interesting Friday...

A friend Jade met at our Knoxville convention came yesterday afternoon for a visit on his way back to Penn- sylvania. We invited him to spend the night. Later, Venese, a friend of Jade's came over to spend the night with Jade. Venese is an exchange student from S. Vietnam. We all left for dinner at a local Chinese Buffet restaurant. (The picture above shows Jade with her friend, Venese.)

While on the way to go eat Chinese, a friend of ours from Georgia called and told us their daughter and husband were traveling through our area and had car trouble in Bristol. They were having transmission problems, perhaps caused in part from the enclosed utility trailer they were pulling. After our Chinese meal, I went to meet up with them at exit 7 in Virginia. We hooked the trailer to my Sequoia, and they followed me home in their vehicle. So tonight we have a house full. And everyone is having fun. (This picture shows Emanuel, Esme, Asher, Jade and Venese playing games.) Hey, I see Beverly in the background. Beverly baked cookies and we all had a great time. Reminds me of an old Mexico saying, "Me casa es su casa."

I am thankful for our friends.

Dealing with Stress
Stress is created when one's mind overrides the body's basic desire to choke the living daylights out of some jerk who desperately deserves it!

How to Control Stress by Relaxing

If you've been having a rough day, there is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological texts in order to help you relax.
Please follow these steps properly to get the full effect:

1. Picture yourself near a stream.
2. Imagine birds chirping softly in the crisp, cool, mountain air.

3. No one but you knows your secret place.

4. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place known as "the world."

5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

6. The water is crystal clear...

7. ...You can easily make out the face of the person you're holding under the water.
