Dr. Phil and More

Check My Scoreboard------------------------------->
I have kept my new year's resolution for one week, almost. It has paid off! I have kept my food intake down by portion size and eliminating snacks at bedtime. And have kept overall consumption below 1600 calories a day. In addition, I did at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise on 5 days, and I did my weight lifting exercise on 3 days. (Click on this sentence to see my plan.) I have lost 5 pounds since Monday.

Dr. Phil has a Test you can take.
(Many Thanks to my fishing buddy, Doug, who sent me Dr. Phil's Test)
This is a real test given by the Human Relations Department at many of the major corporations today. It helps them get better insight concerning their employees and prospective employees. At the end of the test there is a description of what the scores mean. They say Dr. Phil scored 55, and Oprah scored 38. Tennessee Granddaddy also scored 38. What will you score? What does it mean? Find out at the following link:

It's fun and easy. Only takes a 2-3 minutes. Go for it!

You can also take the test online and you will not need pencil and paper.

Another Poem by Mary, my sister

I Wonder Where They Are Tonight

When it's cold and dark and deep,
I wonder where the squirrels sleep.
Are they safe and warm and sound,
When night shades have fallen down?

I wonder if the birds are warm,
If perchance 'twould come a storm,
I hope that they can safely rest,
In their little leafy nest.

I look out on the cold, dark night
'Tis such a dark and lonely sight,
But God His loving hand doth send,
And then He safely tucks them in.

Quote of the Day

Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having
a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone.

Joke of the Day

A husband and wife are getting ready for bed. The wife is standing in front of a full-length mirror, taking a long hard look at herself. "You know dear", she says, "I look in the mirror, and I see an old woman. My face is all wrinkled, my hair is grey, my shoulders are hunched over, I've got fat legs, and my arms are flabby."

She turns to her husband and says, "Tell me something positive, to make me feel better about myself."

He studies hard for a moment, thinking about it, and says in a soft, thoughtful voice. "Well, there's nothing wrong with your eyesight."

Services for the husband will be held next Tuesday morning at 10:30, at Saint Elmo's memorial Chapel.

Good morning Jim. Just though I would let you know I scored 47 on the test. I believe it mean I might talk a little too much. LOL
Have a wonderful weekend. See you Monday.
