Three Evils

You have very likely seen and heard of the three wise monkeys: Hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil (See picture).

Just recently we received a little gift from David and Debra with three bird figurines represent- ing the three evils. (See picture of the birds with their wings covering their ears, eyes and beaks.)

I found a web site about the three wise monkeys: Three Wise Brass Monkeys. Moldings (brass, copper, ...) of the 3 wise monkeys been have been popular in past days. I also learned that sometimes there are four (4) wise monkeys! The forth one being the "Do no Evil." See Wikipedia for the Japanese origin and details about three wise monkeys.

Question of the Day

How come you never hear about gruntled employees?

Joke of the Day

There are three engineers in a car; an electrical engineer, a chemical engineer, and a Microsoft Software Engineer. Suddenly the car just stops by the side of the road, and the three engineers look at each other wondering what could be wrong.

The electrical engineer suggests stripping down the electronics of the car and trying to trace where a fault might have occurred.

The chemical engineer, not knowing much about cars, suggests that maybe the fuel is becoming emulsified and getting blocked somewhere.

Then the Microsoft engineer, not knowing much about anything, comes up with a suggestion. "Why don't we close all the windows, get out, get back in, open the windows again, and maybe it'll work!?"
