NE Tennessee Scenery

A few days ago I went through my digital photos for the last couple of years. I selected some of the best and put them in a slide show. All of the pictures are scenery photos taken in NE Tennessee. Pictures made include scenes at Bay Mountain Park, Boone Lake, Douglas Lake, Watauga Lake, South Holston Lake, Warriors Path State Park and a few from the Chimneys picnic area in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Quote of the Day
You can fool all the people some of the time,
and some of the people all the time,
but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

Joke of the Day

This guy walks into a bar for the first time, and he's sitting around drinking. Some of the old timers are telling jokes. One of them says "Seventeen" and the other old timers all roar with laughter. A little later, another one of them says "Thirty-Two" and again, they all laugh and holler.

Well, the new guy can't figure out what's going on, so he asks one of the locals next to him "What're these old-timers doin'?" The local says "Well, they've been hangin' around together so long they all know all the same jokes, so to save extra talkin' they've given 'em all numbers."

Later on a man gets up and says, "Twenty-eight" and their was no laughter. Embarrassed, the man sat down.

The new fellow says "What happened? How come no one laughed when that guy said twenty-eight?"

The local says "Well, son, that guy just doesn't know how to tell a joke..."

Cool slide show, how do you do that in a blog? Here's some of my east Tennessee pictures of some of the same areas. I think the prettiest place in America!

HI! I am an 52 year old woman who lives in Rockford, Illinois who lived in Kingsport 45 years ago when I was a little girl. My dad Roy Robbins was born in Greenville, Tenn and was an over the road truck driver. I have been to the Smokies 6 times in the last 12 yrs. and I think Tenn. is one of the prettiest states that I have ever seen. Would love to retire somewhere in the country around the Smokies but right now it is only a dream! I truly enjoyed The Dirt Roads and what a good song to go with it!MY e-mail address ie dollz_1955@yahoo.com if you ever want to send me some good things for of many albums I have on Tenn. God Bless you and your family!! Sharla Joy Robbins
