Communicate Carefully

Things Going Good
We had a wonderful day of meetings yesterday at our church convention. We’re ready for our second day of meetings this Friday in Paris, TN.

Punctuation
I ran across something the other day I wanted to share with you. When you communicate in writing, be very careful of your punctuation. Look at the following…

power-of-punctuation

Punctuation can change the meaning drastically, without changing the order of the words.

Quote of the Day
If you take advantage of everything America has to offer, there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.

Jokes of the Day

A site foreman had ten very lazy men working for him, so one day he decided to trick them into doing some work for a change. "I've got a really easy job today for the laziest one among you," he announced. "Will the laziest man please put his hand up." Nine hands went up. "Why didn't you put your hand up?" he asked the tenth man. "Too much trouble," came the reply.

And…

An applicant was filling out a job application. When he came to the question, "Have you ever been arrested?" he wrote, "No." The next question, intended for people who had answered in the affirmative to the previous question, was "Why?" The applicant answered it anyway: "Never got caught."
