50th Wedding Anniversary

This Week, On June 8
This past Saturday our family had a 50th Anniversary dinner for Beverly and me. I would rate it a perfect ten! We had a wonderful experience and appreciate the time and effort that was put into it. Here’s a few pictures with some comments…

Here’s the invitation that Bethany designed and Kevin mailed out to our family invitees. 50YearsOfLove

The big surprise was this congratulatory message from the White House singed by the President and his wife. IMG_4149-1
And Mandy made a scrapbook celebrating our 50 years of marriage. IMG_4151
Beautiful roses were on the table where we all dined. IMG_4152

It was a wonderful and grand day, that was perfect in every way. Thanks to Bethany, Kevin, Mandy and all who attended.

We’ll be celebrating all week, as we tend to make the most of events like this.

Joke of the Day

A young couple got married and went on their honeymoon. When they got back, the bride immediately called her mother.

"Well," said her mother, "How was the honeymoon?"

"Oh, mama," she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic..." Suddenly she burst out crying. "But, mama, as soon as we returned Sam started using the most horrible language - things I'd never heard before! I mean, all these awful 4-letter words! You've got to take me home... PLEASE MAMA!"

"Sarah, Sarah," her mother said, "Calm down! You need to stay with your husband and work this out. Now, tell me, what could be so awful? WHAT 4-letter words?"

"Please don't make me tell you, mama," wept the daughter, "I'm so embarrassed they're just too awful! COME GET ME, PLEASE!!"

"Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset. Tell your mother these horrible 4-letter words!"

Still sobbing, the bride said, "Oh, Mama ... he used words like: dust, wash, iron, cook..."

"I'll pick you up in twenty minutes," said the mother.

Congratulations! I remember when you two got married, as it was so "romantic" to a 12 yr old girl! You all were like Ken and Barbie to me!!
