The America West Video

The West
The following video is from YouTube and it shows time Lapse scenes over California, Idaho, and Nevada. It is accompanied by some Royalty free music that makes this video relaxing and enjoyable.

I think the west is beautiful. In the  past we have enjoyed some visits to Arizona, Texas and New Mexico. I took the pictures on the right at the Grand Canyon back in the early 1990s. Canyon 05
  Canyon 07
But it seems I am always thankful to get back to the green hills and mountains of East Tennessee. I guess it’s true, “There’s no place like home.”

Close to home
My good friend, Darnell, sent me the following picture yesterday. It seems they had some snow in Bristol, and he found this robin wondering about this cold weather. Thanks for the picture, Darnell, it’s a good one!

Have you noticed since everyone has a camcorder these days no one talks about seeing UFOs like they used to?

Quote of the Day
I am only one, but I am one.  I cannot do everything, but I can do something.  And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.

Joke of the Day

A linguistics professor was lecturing to his class one day. "In English," he said, "A double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."

A voice from the back of the room piped up, 'Yeah, right.'
