Mary’s Birthday
My son Kevin drove to Knoxville on Saturday morning and brought Dad and Mary to Kingsport. First, we all met for lunch (Kevin’s treat at local restaurant) then we went to ball game to watch Zachary and his team.
The above photo shows the team, and Zachary is Number 1 on the front row. This following photo shows Dad, Mary, Kevin and Beverly enjoying the game.
After the game we came to our home where we enjoyed birthday cake and ice cream. Mary was smiling as we were singing “Happy Birthday to You”.
Here’s a picture of Mary with Kara and Zachary before we destroyed the cake.
After all the festivities, Kevin drove back to Knoxville to take Dad and Mary back home. How’s that for a son who goes the extra mile for his family. Thanks Kevin!
you are a very needy person.

Joke of the Day
Did you hear about old Joe. He read about the federal government’s travel warnings due to the cold weather. The government suggested that anyone traveling in the current blizzard conditions should make sure they carry the following:
- Shovel
- Blankets or sleeping bag
- Extra clothing including hat and gloves
- 24 hours worth of food
- De-icer
- Rock salt
- Flashlight with spare batteries
- Road flares or reflective triangles
- Full spare gas can
- First aid kit
- Booster cables
He followed the instruction, but he looked like an idiot on the bus the next morning.
(Thanks to my friend Nancy)
