Fishing

South Holston and Watauga Lakes
We went fishing on both Thursday and Friday. Thursday we went to South Holston Lake. Yesterday we thought we would try Watauga Lake. Here’s a few pictures…

Charlie and Jim with Thursday’s stringer. We got 2 big lake trout, and 2 small rainbow trout.

Charlie and Faye go back home to Kentucky today. We enjoyed their visit, and I think Charlie enjoyed some good East Tennessee fishing! I sure did!

Here’s a sky picture I took on Watauga Lake yesterday.

I hope you have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

Tennessee Granddaddy Says:
Always say Thank You!
I always appreciate it when someone gives me a sincere ‘thank you’ when appropriate. That doesn’t happen a lot, I’m usually on the receiving end of things. But I don’t want to get careless.
I want to always say ‘thank you’.
Remember Elvis? “Thank You, Thank You Very Much!”

Quote of the Day
We never really grow up,
we only learn how to act in public.

Joke of the Day

With  all the new technology regarding fertility, I recently heard about a  65-year-old woman who was able to give birth. When she was  discharged from the hospital and went home, a friend went to visit her.

'May  I see the new baby?' she asked

'Not yet,' She said 'I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first.'

Thirty minutes had passed, and the friend asked, 'May I see the new baby now?'

'No, not yet,' She said.

After another few minutes had elapsed,

The friend asked again, 'May I see the baby now?'
'No, not yet,' replied my friend.

Growing very impatient, the friend asked, 'Well, when can I see the baby?'

'WHEN HE CRIES!'  she told her friend.

'WHEN HE CRIES?' the friend demanded. 'Why do I have  to wait until he CRIES?'

'BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM, O.K.?!!
