Good Times

Last Night
We had a wonderful time last night. Dora, one of our friends who worked at Eastman's Mexico Plant, was visiting Kingsport. All of us who had lived in Mexico and worked at the plant with Dora, got together for a wonderful dinner at Giusseppe's Italian Restaurant. The top picture shows the whole group. Starting on the left and going around are Brenda, Wendell, Pedro, Cathy, Dora, Bruce, Cynthia, Mary, Jim J., Beverly, and myself.

The second picture shows Beverly and I on each side of Dora. We had a great time. Old stories about our days in Mexico were retold and enjoyed. Good memories of days gone by.

My "YouTube" Flag
Last Saturday I was at the Post Office, and noticed the flag flying in the breeze. It was beautiful. I took a short movie and later added the music to the Star Spangled Banner to the video clip. The music is from the US Marine Band. I posted it on YouTube...

When you have time, check out the
Support Our Troops web page that has many interesting links and information about our flag.

Quote of the Day
There is always death and taxes;
however, death doesn't get worse every year.

Joke of the Day

An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and told her preacher she had two final requests. First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart.

"Wal-Mart?" the preacher exclaimed. "Why Wal-Mart?" She explained, "Then I'll be sure my children and friends visit me twice a week."

I heard a slight variation of your quote for today:

There is always death and taxes;
however, Congress doesn't meet every year to make death worse.
