Alphabet of Friendship

A friend sent this list to me a while back. It's good and I wanted to share with you. Perhaps you could read the list twice. First, thinking about your friends that do that for you. Then, read it a second time thinking about how you could do that for your friends.

A Friend does most or all of these...

(A)ccepts you as you are
(B)elieves in "you"
(C)alls you just to say "HI"
(D)oesn't give up on you

(E)nvisions the whole of you (even the unfinished parts)
(F)orgives your mistakes
(G)ives unconditionally
(H)elps you
(I)nvites you over

(J)ust "be" with you
(K)eeps you close at heart
(L)oves you for who you are
(M)akes a difference in your life

(N)ever Judges
(O)ffer support
(P)icks you up
(Q)uiets your fears
(R)aises your spirits

(S)ays nice things about you
(T)ells you the truth when you need to hear it
(U)nderstands you
(V)alues you

(W)alks beside you
(X)-plains thing you don't understand
(Y)ells when you won't listen and
(Z)aps you back to reality

Remember that Jesus is the best friend of all.

We went to Knoxville yesterday for the "Special Meetings". We heard many good and profitable things. It was a very good day. We used our SUV to full advantage with all eight seats occupied.

Quote of the Day
I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.

Joke of the Day

A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?"

The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children and so Mankind was made."

Two days later the girl asked her father the same question. The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved."

The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human Race was created by God, and Dad said they developed from monkeys?"

The mother answered, "Well, dear, it is very simple. I told you about my side of the family and your father told you about his."
