Light Bulbs

How Stupid Can We Be?
Congress has passed an energy bill that bans incandescent light bulbs by 2014. You know the kind that Thomas Edison invented. We will have to buy the compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs) which are made in China and filled with poisonous gasses. I’m not so sure they last as long as they say, and they sure are expensive. They don’t do anything for jobs in the USA. Watch this speech to Congress.

The EPA has gone crazy. Beware: the green global warming movement is a political movement not a scientific one.

Tennessee Granddaddy Says:
You’ve heard the saying, “Measure Twice, Cut Once.”
That a applies to more than carpentry.

Before you do something, think about it twice,
before you carry through and do it.
It’s better than erring or having a mishap.
Before you say something to someone, mull it around in your mind a couple of times before you say it.
It’s better than putting your foot in your mouth.

Joke of the Day

A blonde was shopping at Target & came across a shiny silver thermos. She was quite fascinated by it, so she picked it up & took it to the clerk to ask what it was.
The clerk said, "Why, that's a thermos. It keeps hot things hot, and cold things cold."

"Wow", said the blonde, "that's amazing. I'm going to buy it!" So she bought the thermos & took it to work the next day.

Her boss saw it on her desk. "What's that," he asked?

"Why, that's a thermos. It keeps hot things hot & cold things cold," she replied.

Her boss inquired, "What do you have in it?"

The blond replied, "Two popsicles & some coffee."
