Around the World

Flags of Every Country
Here’s an interesting web site that allows you to see the national flag of every nation. The website shows a map of the world, and as you glide you mouse over the map, you can see a popup of the flags of every nation. Click below to try it:

Dad’s Birthday
We went to Knoxville last Friday to spend the day with Dad and help him celebrate his 98th Birthday. It was a great day for a great man. Here’s a couple of pictures:

Dad and Karen: Dad was proud of this watercolor painting by Karen of a barn. This was a nice gift. IMG_1242

Grandchildren
We’re enjoying some time “babysitting” with a couple of our grandchildren these last few days. It’s just fun being with them and getting to know them better. I love ‘em.

Nothing in life is to be feared.
It is only to be understood.

Joke of the Day

A Minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon. Four worms were placed into four separate jars.

The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.
The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke. The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup. The fourth worm was put into a container of good, clean soil.

wormsAt the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:

The first worm in alcohol ... Dead.

The second worm in cigarette smoke ... Dead.
The third worm in chocolate syrup ... Dead.
The fourth worm in good, clean soil ... Alive .

So the Minister asked the congregation, "What did you learn from this demonstration?"

Maxine was sitting in the back and quickly raised her hand and said, "As long as you drink, smoke, and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"

That pretty much ended the service !!
