Neat Pictures and Art

From My Friend
My good friend, Darnell, recently shared some pictures he had taken. I think he is doing a great job getting close-ups of insects. Thanks for sharing you photographic skills, Darnell.

Neat Art From My Cousin
My first cousin, Karen, has set up a new blog where she will be offering some of her beautiful watercolors for sale. Check out her regular blog called Brush Strokes, where she shows her projects and tips for painting. Her new blog will focus on paintings currently offered for sale to the public. You can view them in the Brush Strokes Gallery.

Karen does beautiful work as evidenced by one of her recent paintings named “Fall in the Birches”…Fall in the Birches

Tennessee Granddaddy Says:
Some areas for New Year resolutions:

Your spiritual life.
Your family life.
Your friendships.
Your health – diet, exercise, & risk control.
Your job skills and knowledge.
Your financial goals, budgeting, …
Your hobbies & interests.
Life long learning interests.
Travel goals.

You may see needs for self improvement in some of the above areas. These could become the basis of a goal for you to achieve in the coming year.
Aim High.

Joke of the Day

She told me we couldn't afford beer at $25.00 a case anymore. Too bad, but I would have to quit drinking.

Then the next day I caught her spending $65.00 on a tiny bottle of make-up.

I asked her how come I had to give up stuff and she didn't.

She said she needed the make-up to look pretty for me.

I told her that wasn't necessary, that's what the beer was for! Besides, my beer was 40 bucks cheaper.

I don't think she's coming back…
