Brussels in Bloom
The following picture shows what looks to be a large and beautiful carpet being made. What is interesting is that it is a carpet made completely of flowers. Click on the above picture or the link below to see some more pictures of this beautiful display of flowers:
Went Fishing Yesterday
Doug, Ralph and I went down to Douglas Lake yesterday for some crappie fishing. We had a great day with 26 keeper crappie, plus a catfish and a nice striped bass. We also caught (and returned to the lake) 12 crappie that were too small, and about 15-20 small striped bass, 1 bluegill, one sauger pike and one drum.
This picture shows our keepers: 26 crappie, 1 cat fish, and 1 striped bass. The stringer weighed about 29 pounds.
Sometimes in life you get a second chance.
if so, be sure to make good use of it.

Jokes of the Day
A mother with a fidgety seven-year old boy told how she finally got her son to sit still and be quiet in church. About halfway through the sermon, she would lean over and whisper in her son’s ear, 'If you don't be quiet, the preacher is going to lose his place and will have to start his sermon all over again!' It worked.
And….
Three boys are in the school yard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, "My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper; he calls it a poem, they give him $50."
The second boy says, "That's nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper; he calls it a song, they give him $100."
The third boy says, "I got you both beat. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper; he calls it a sermon---And it takes eight people to collect all the money!"
