The Santa Train

Kermit, VA - Nov 22, 2008
We saw Santa come in on the Santa Train. We had a great time watching the train, and then watching Santa and his helpers throw out candy and gifts to the young girls and boys. Every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, the train starts in Kentucky and drives through SW Virginian making stops like the one in Kermit, Virginia. The final stop is Kingsport, TN. You can read more about the Santa Train here. Here’s a video I put together that will give you a feel for what the Santa Train is all about.
(It lasts less than 3 minutes.)

Joke of the Day

A pilot was flying over the jungle when he started having engine trouble. Eventually the engine stopped and he realized that he would have to bail out before it lost too much height and crashed.

So he put on his parachute and jumped out of the door. He pulled the rip cord, his parachute opened and he floated gently down towards a clearing in the jungle.

Unfortunately he landed right in the middle of a large cooking pot in which the chief of the cannibals was cooking lunch.

The chief cried out in astonishment, "What’s this flier doing in my soup?"

(That was a terrible joke. I can hear your groans all the way to East Tennessee!)

that was a cute joke!! silly and very puny but funny too!

neat idea for the Santa Train; I've seen Santa arrive in a fire truck, carriage, helicopter, etc but never a train! I bet it is such a hit for the little boys and girls :)

thanks for sharing that video!
